Rudy Giuliani has decided not to chase after the New York Governor's office in 2010. It remains to be seen if he wants to compete for Hillebrand's Senate seat, but his reticence has dissappointed the state GOP.
Wow. The party that Pataki helped run aground? The party that has, what, two members left in it's Congressional delegation?
I think Rudy still has ideas about President in 2012. And, as one of FDR's compatriots noted, the only cure for Presidential fever is repeated injections of formaldehyde.
Why on earth would any Republican want to preside in Albany? If I were to take office there, my agenda would be simple:
1) Hit up the Silver and Bruno people for bribes to ignore the 'women and children first' order.
2) Lower all lifeboats.
3) Wire the Californian again to see if they can help.
4) Turn out the lights.
New York is still losing population. It's safe to say that they are moving anywhere except Michigan and California, two states that make New York look like a business and libertarian haven by comparison.
